Have you started to see the hype about Google's new attempt at a social network they are calling Google+? I have been doing research because at this moment in time Google seems to be the only company that might have a shot at competing with the giants – Facebook and Twitter.
Since I didn't get an invitation to try it out in the beta format I thought I would share this great video from Chris Voss.
Thanks Chris for giving us the inside scoop.
Yea Lynn – it should be interesting to see what comes out of it. I can’t wait to try it out – I can’t imagine me leaving Facebook for any reason at this point but it does have the backing of the most powerful search engine available right now. So that alone is reason to see what it does. I did like the live multi-video chatting option he was talking about. I could see some real benefit in that for mini-mastermind meetings etc. We will just have to wait and see. Thanks Lynn – Talk to you soon.
Great Minds! I wrote an article about Google+ yesterday for the newspaper column I write. I hadn’t see Chris Voss’ video though – so I added the link, AND posted the article to my blog as well!
I’d love to have the opportunity to preview Google+. Chris says it’s easier and cleaner than Facebook and Twitter, yet Robert Scoble says “Your mom won’t use Google+”. He says it will attract techy types, and social media stars.
It will certainly be interesting to see what comes of it when it gets rolled out to everyone. Will this be another Google Wave? Who knows!
Eydie 🙂
Hey Eydie – Great minds do think alike. It will be really interesting to see what happens when it goes live if it can get going fast it might really work. I saw a post yesterday that said Facebook just partnered with Skype and launched a new video option for Facebook. That was one of the big things about Google+ so we will just have to watch and see what happens. Thanks for commenting, Michele
