Has our society taught us that failure is the worst thing that can happen to us in life? I believe that failure is inevitable in life. There comes a time when something you have done is a failure so we can either hide and sulk in our sorrows or we can learn from our failures.
Here is a great video of Seth Godin interviewing Richard Branson on the subject of failure.
My father is a brilliant business man and he taught me a long time ago that if I never failed it meant I never tried and there is nothing worse than never trying.
Thanks for sharing this, Michele. Another great quote from Richard Branson is: “A business has to be involving, it has to be fun, and it has to exercise your creative instincts.” You will perceive failure quite a bit differently if you fail at something that you love doing versus something that you just do for the money or even worse … dread doing. If you love it, you will accept failure as an educational experiment and find a new solution. If you don’t have a passion for your vision or your business, failure will make a convincing argument as to why you should just give up.
