Have you seen the TV ads for Cardwoo.com?  They buy and then sell peoples unwanted gift cards.  What a brilliant idea.

Think about it – people are given gift cards for birthdays, holidays, thank you's – all kinds of events.  Even rebates are now given on gift cards.  You probably have unused gift cards in your desk, wallet, purse and home.  I just looked in my wallet and I have 3 that I have had for over a year now and have not used.

So why is this important?  If you want to start a business or add products or services to your existing business you should be thinking “What problem do people have that I can solve?” Cardwoo didn't create the situation of unused and unwanted gift cards it just figured out a way to help people get a little cash for their unwanted cards.  Then it figured how to make a little money while doing it.

I'll give you another example.  I travel a lot and while in the store yesterday I noticed that now you can buy a kit that includes the little bag and exact size clear plastic containers for the liquids you want to carry on a flight with you.
