Now that you have all the pieces in place to begin list building, it is time to begin to focus on your promotion plan.

WEEK #4

Monday

  1. Find and follow influencers you wish to connect with—people your followers will also relate to and ones with whom you can see yourself joint-venturing with one day.
  2. Start interacting with them (in a natural way) – comment on their posts, share them, retweet them.
  3. Share today’s posts (social and/or blog).
  4. Comment, respond and interact with those who engage with you.

Tuesday

  1. Create a dedicated folder to collect images you will use on posts. Check out Pexels.com for free images that you can use.
  2. Find and download the ideal images to accompany your scheduled posts and emails.
  3. Work on creating content for your list.
  4. Share today’s posts (social and/or blog).
  5. Comment, respond and interact with those who engage with you.

Wednesday

  1. Go over all your list-building set-and-forget content (as well as posts you have planned).
  2. CHECK TO MAKE SURE that you have:
    • Powerful headlines and subject lines that will emotionally resonate with your ideal subscriber.
    • Clear, irresistible calls to action … in the right spots.
  3. Share today’s posts (social and/or blog).
  4. Comment, respond and interact with those who engage with you.

Thursday

  1. Complete your next product or gift.
  2. Plan a new email series to continue from your first one.
  3. Write a broadcast email for your next product or gift.
  4. Create a landing page for it.
  5. Share today’s posts (social and/or blog).
  6. Comment, respond and interact with those who engage with you.

Friday

  1. Review your month of list-building activities.
    • Have you taken care of, setup and optimized all the essentials?
    • Have you developed a good mix of list-building strategies that you enjoy?
    • Is your new community active and engaged?
    • Are you engaging in list building activities daily?
  2. Share today’s posts (social and/or blog).
  3. Comment, respond and interact with those who engage with you.
  4. Track and review your results.
  5. Make a note of your new subscriber numbers!
  6. Plan for your NEXT month of awesome list building!

Did you know that 58% of people read their email first thing in the morning? A lot of them, before they even get out of bed. And unlike social media posts that are gone quickly, email stays in their inbox until they delete or archive them. That means that at the very least they will see your name for sure before they take an action.

What is your excuse for not building your email list? I got an email from someone yesterday that said she just couldn’t figure out the email sequence piece.
